The Passion of Joan of Arc by Adrian Utley & Will Gregory is a specially commissioned live soundtrack for Carl Theodor Dreyer’s classic 1928 silent film http://www.thepassionofjoanofarc.com
The film is accompanied by a live performance from an eclectic group of musicians including Alex Lee as one of six electric guitarists alongside members of the Monteverdi Choir, harp, percussion, horns and keyboards.
The music incorporates extended techniques for guitar and voices providing a powerful landscape for this incredibly innovative and moving film about the last days of Joan of Arc.
It has been performed in London, New York, Krakow, Latitude Festival, Brighton, Bath and Bristol.
