Biography

ALEX LEE is a multi-instrumentalist based in the West Country whose recent work includes:

MASSIVE ATTACK – guitarist on Mezzanine XX1 2019 tour and 2024 European tour.

FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE – musical director (non-playing) for the live shows & promotion campaign for the 2018 album High As Hope and the 2015 album How Big How Blue How Beautiful.

GOLDFRAPP – guitars on the albums Tales Of Us (2013), Head First (2010) & Seventh Tree (2008) and guitarist in the live band since 2008 including the 2022 Felt Mountain anniversary tour.

SUN’S SIGNATURE – guitars on Sun’s Signature EP July 2022. A studio project with Elizabeth Fraser & Damon Reece

JESSIE WARE – musical director (non-playing) for the live shows & promotion campaign for the 2017 album Glasshouse

MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS – musical director & guitarist for 2011-13 Electra Heart tour.

ROYAL SHAKESPEARE COMPANY – musical director & guitarist for the play Dunsinane 2010-11 & music associate for As You Like It 2023 & A Midsummer’s Night Dream 2024.

PLACEBO – guitarist & keyboards on the Meds tour 2006-7.

SUEDE – guitarist & keyboards on the Head Music tour 1999 and band member 2001-2003.

ALPHA WITH JARVIS COCKER – South EP 2001.
